A Special Thanksgiving LaurelHOW

Welcome to LaurelHOW.

Question: What's the difference between dressing and stuffing?
LaurelHOW:  According to the official Laurelpedia definitions:
  • stuffing. noun. seasoned breadcrumbs and other ingredients cooked inside the turkey on Thanksgiving. syn. unacceptable.
  • dressing. noun. seasoned breadcrumbs and other ingredients cooked outside of the turkey on thanksgiving. syn. acceptable.

  • When I asked Laurel why she had such strong feelings about the classic stuffing vs. dressing debate, she informed me that:
    • Cooking stuffing inside the turkey is gross
    • because you can get salmonella.
    • To prevent salmonella, you need to cook the turkey longer,
    • which dries out the turkey.
    • This is very upsetting to Laurel, who, interestingly, does not eat turkey or dressing (or stuffing).
